CAN I AFFORD A HOME ELEVATOR?

Residential elevators are a sound investment as they increase your home’s value. In fact, the increase in home value often far exceeds the initial cost of purchase and installation, making the addition of an elevator to your home an easy decision. Plus, when it’s time to sell your home, having a home elevator means you’ll appeal to a much larger potential market!

Drum & Cable-Driven Elevator

This elevator is similar to a cable-driven elevator but it is powered by a chain wound around a drum. This makes them more durable, and they do not require a machine room, saving space.

Depending on the number of stops, size, style, and construction needed cost is between $22,000 - $45,000.

Shaft-less Elevator

This elevator is self-supporting, meaning there's no need to use load-bearing walls.  It has a built-in drive with no additional motors or machinery.

Due to its small footprint, it is very easy to install into an existing home but is also very stylish and ergonomic for new construction.

Depending on the model, they cost between $22,000 - $29,000.

Hydraulic Elevator

This elevator's movements are powered by a piston that travels inside a cylinder. They do not require separate machine rooms as the power system is contained entirely within the elevator shaft itself.

When installed in new construction, they cost between $25,000 – $50,000.
